Essentialism is the work that underpins the teachings of the English author Greg McKeown: following the "philosophy" of essentialism allows you to eliminate the superfluous and focus on those activities, jobs and decisions truly worthy of your time. Learning to filter the commitments and obligations you choose to take on, knowing how to say no, and anticipating any unforeseen events, allows you to live a healthier life, far from the social pressure that often promotes harmful attitudes as healthy ones: the first of these is taking on more work than you have time for, and saying yes to everything and everyone, instead of selecting what really deserves your time and energy.
