Something that all successful people have in common is an ability to do things other people don't like doing. Whether they feel like it or not, successful people do what they need to do, to obtain the results they desire, and since they constantly do what others won’t, they obtain results that others cannot.
Success almost always involves turning our back on something easy to focus on something difficult: whatever you are hoping to achieve, the only way to do so is to become self-disciplined without giving into the distraction of taking the easy way out.
The good news is that there is always room for improvement. Start to think of discomfort as an opportunity to grow rather than as an obstacle. Allow discomfort to become a push to action and face resistance with your head held high. When you begin to do this, you will realise that it gets just a little bit easier every time, and in a short while, you will develop a strong sense of self-discipline, which is not only essential for your success, but is also a key requirement to leading a happy and fulfilling life.
There are four fundamental components which everyone needs to feel well and give their best: sleep, nutrition, movement, and mindfulness. If you want to lead a healthy and productive life, you need to master these four components: take care of each of them and you will feel calm, focused, and full of energy every day. Neglect them, and you will be in a constant state of stress, confusion, and tiredness.
To start, choose one of these four components to work on. Ask yourself which of these could be your “key habit”, the one which has the potential to spark a chain reaction of positivity in your life. Once you have identified, implemented and consolidated your key habit, the rest will become much easier.
