Michael Alan Singer is an American author, motivational speaker, and journalist. After receiving his Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Florida in 1971, Singer had his first spiritual awakening in the 1970s, which led him to go on a private retreat, during which he gained in-depth experience of meditation and yoga. He later embarked on a prestigious career in software development in the medical industry. In 2005, he retired from the IT sector, in order to concentrate completely on spirituality. His two books, The Untethered Soul (2013) and The Surrender Experiment (2015) are both New York Times bestsellers.
