We often feel a sense of impending doom when we talk about climate change, but science shows us that this is simply the result of misleading statements, misunderstandings, and misinformation. While it is true that our climate is changing, we still do not really know the extent of human impact on this change, or what the consequences will be. In Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn't, and Why It Matters, Steven E. Koonin analyses the current situation in climate science, and challenges some of the most common so-called facts. He provides data and examples to debunk the most prevalent misconceptions, reveals many interesting but little-known truths, and also offers several useful tips to help us avoid becoming overwhelmed by the widespread alarmism on climate change. Finally, he explains why some of the proposed solutions will not work, and shares his own Plan B.
